I wanted a quality ankle boot for the colder weather months in Minnesota before we get snow for when I take my dogs out. There are hills on our acreage and I needed a good tread to get me up and down the hills without slipping. I have four pairs of Keen Presidio shoes, size 39. I felt confident ordering these boots in size 39. They are a beautiful boot, very sturdy and I am confident they will last for a long time. However, it has taken quite a while for them to become comfortable for me to wear. I compared these boots with my existing Keen shoes, and they look very similar in width and length. But it was extremely hard to get them flexible in the toebox area. I have a wide foot and like Keen because they are wider than most. I used a very smooth rock that was oval-shaped and a perfect fit to slide in and wedge in the toe area to stretch them. I wore these in the house for several hours before wearing them outside to get them to stretch a little too. I don’t regret buying them.
Put on your Keens and go someplace unexpected. From the trailhead to the waterfront, down the boulevard and on Market Street. In the real world, there's no formula for where you go and how you get there. So pick the place, choose the adventure, put on your Keens and go.
