I have a bad foot from an injury 5 years ago and I still have problems. These Haflinger Grizzly closed heal clogs are perfect with wool socks for around the house. These clogs along with a pair of quality German-made leather boots and my Birkenstock sandals completely manage my foot problems and pain with no drugs, and no doctor! I have another pair of Haflinger Grizzly clogs with the standard open heal that I keep next to my bed. That pair is used without socks as I first get out of bed in the night/morning for bathroom trips, and my first steps of the day in the morning. During the night my foot muscles tighten up and those first few steps of the day can sometimes cause injury if they are taken barefoot... That advise came straight from my old Doctor, and it does help. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention other brands in this review, but these Haflinger cork soled wool clogs fit very similar to Birkenstock sandals. If you love your Birks, you will love these Haflinger clogs
High quality material, well made, a supreme shoe. I have used these shoes for 10 years now as slippers around the house. Due to leg and feet problems the doctor advised me not to walk without support shoes on, even around the house! I found these shoes to be the perfect house slipper. The support the cork sole provides is therapeutic, yet they are comfortable, light weight, and warm, perfect for both lounging and working around the house. I wear them all year 'round. So, happy I could purchase them online with such ease. I could not be happier.
These are the best shoes I have ever had to wear all the time in the house. I have never found a slipper type of shoe that wasn't too slippery or sloppy feeling. The Hafflinger is perfectly contoured on the inside. Not too hot, not too cold. My plantar fascia went away the moment I put on the previous pair I had. Those were worn to tatters, but, I may sew up the holes in the toes and wear them in the summer as garden shoes. I bought a pair for my husband also. He wears them all the time..
