I wore Dansko clogs when I worked as a nurse in the OR almost 20 years ago. They're the only shoes that were comfortable for my fat and swollen feet. Fast forward to today and I'm still a fan. My feet are big (9.5) and wide and I have a bunion on one foot. I ordered a 39.5 and wore them Christmas shopping a few days ago for about 5 hours without socks and without breaking them in first. No blisters or rubbed spots at all. I wear a 40 in Birkenstock sandals for reference. They did not seem to run large. My heel did not slip as i walked; they really fit like a glove.
