Montrail made the Comp Hiking boot with a durable full-grain leather upper that wraps around nylon mesh panels that enhance flex and cooling. A variable tension lacing system helps hold your heel firmly in the heel cup when you need extra stability in uneven and exposed ridgeline routes. Gryptonite GT sticky rubber compound along the lug sole makes it easy to grip challenging and steep surfaces. One thing to keep in mind is that this version is Montrail's standard Comp boot--not the XCR version with the waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane.
